“The United Way of Galveston 2008 Campaign is now accepting donations. The United Way of Galveston has chosen to support the local community in response to the effects of Hurricane Ike by suspending all administration fees associated with donations for the 2008 United Way of Galveston Community Campaign. This means 100% of all designations go directly to the agencies in which donors choose to designate. All contributions to the United Way of Galveston will go directly to Hurricane Ike relief efforts. The United Way of Galveston is closely partnering with the Galveston County Recovery Fund in supporting short and long term recovery efforts for Galveston County. We urge you to help us help others in rebuilding our beloved community”

Gleanings From The Harvest for Galveston, understands the struggles that many parents experience in providing food for
their families. For that reason, we are determined to assist those in need to the best of our abilities. Currently, we are offering to grandparents raising grandchildren the opportunity to receive
a food box monthly at no cost. Through donations, currently,
we are only able to distribute 100 boxes throughout the
county.

Gleanings From The Harvest with it's Angel Food Ministries for fourteen years, has provided balanced nutrition and variety through its regular box, with enough food to feed a family of four for a week, as well as other Special and Senior Boxes.
